Return is a projectile spell which can be used for teleportation. When cast, a translucent white projectile is created, which marks the location you will teleport to when the projectile expires 4 seconds later. The projectile has no speed when created, and is unaffected by gravity. Like the very similar Teleport Bolt spells, this spell will not let you teleport into solid ground.
Nolla and other lifetime reducing modifiers can cause Return to take effect almost instantaneously. If so modified, and placed in the payload of a 'with Trigger' spell (Long-Distance Cast is ideal for this) Return functions basically the same way as Teleport Bolt.
Return can be used to teleport back up after briefly entering the next Holy Mountain (to drop off wands or items, or to briefly edit wands). With practice, 4 seconds is just long enough to throw a wand or two out of your inventory, or move a spell.
This spell cannot teleport you into unloaded chunks. Because of this, it is not effective for long distance teleportation (see Expert Guide: Long Distance Travel)
By removing Long-Distance Cast you can halve the teleport latency to only 1 frame. At this point, how fast you travel comes down to how long your wand is.
