Path modifiers Spells
Spell modifiers that change the flight-path of the affected projectiles.
Phasing Arc is a projectile modifier and lifetime modifier spell that will make a projectile jump a short distance in the direction the projectile is traveling.
Every 12 frames the affected projectile(s) will jump a distance of pixels, with being the number of Phasing Arcs affecting the projectile(s). (28 pixels is a bit shy of twice Minä's height)
Although slowing down the projectile(s) affected it greatly increases reach with the jumping distance and increased lifetime.
Tips
- Synergizes well with Luminous Drill and Plasma Beam.
- Can make projectiles move much faster when stacked, but if stacked too much might jump past the target.
- Phasing Arc combined with Drilling Shot greatly increases the speed with which projectiles go through terrain.
- Could be used to create infinite lifetime spells.
- Stationary projectiles will be phased rightward.
- Unlike most other Projectile Modifier spells, Phasing Arc applies many of its effects --- cast delay, lifetime, and speed multiplier modifications --- after Drawing another spell.
- Chainsaw sets cast delay to 0, but if you have Concentrated Spells, some cast delay will be added afterward. You can offset this additional cast delay with Phasing Arc + Chainsaw or Double Spell + Chainsaw + Phasing Arc, while other modifiers reducing cast delay may require the second approach.
- Phasing Arc + five copies of Slithering Path will produce a speed multiplier of 6.6 () rather than 10.56 (). (The 20 appears as Slithering Path doubles the speed multiplier then limits it to the range 0 to 20; the fifth copy hits this limit, then Phasing Arc's modification is applied.)
