Digging Blast

Digging Blast is a more effective version of Digging Bolt, but will not damage most enemies. Though it has a damage value registered, and shows it does drill damage in the spell card, its projectile is configured to simply not collide with regular enemies.
Digging Blast can dig through materials of durability 10, allowing it to dig through Dense Rock but not Extremely Dense Rock.
Tips
- Along with Digging Bolt, this spell has the property of overriding any other sounds generated by the spell. Because of this, adding Explosive Projectile will cause the explosion sound not to play. This is particularly useful when making endgame teleport wands in order to avoid constant loud sounds.
- As the target of Add Timer, Add Expiration Trigger, or Add Trigger, usually aims the payload downward. Exceptions include when the blast has been "stopped" by terrain it cannot dig through, causing it to change from a low downward velocity to zero; in this case, timers and trigger variants will release the payload with zero velocity if completely embedded or at a consistent unobstructed angle if paired with Increase Lifetime and Piercing Shot, while the death trigger variant will release the payload in any random direction. Other exceptions include when it is impacted by the pull of a Black Hole.
Trivia
- When Increase Lifetime is applied, will visibly fall downward. It only applies the digging effect at the end. Having too many copies out generates a large amount of lag.
- Digging Blast projectiles still collide with health pickups and spell refreshers, with no apparent effect unless used as the target of Add Trigger.
- Only collides with
"drillable"
objects such as Orbs of True Knowledge.
