Larpa Modifiers
Spell modifiers that cause projectiles to throw out duplicates of themselves.
Upwards Larpa is a projectile modifier spell that causes affected projectiles to fire duplicates of itself upward as it moves. The rate of fire is on a set timer, so faster projectiles will space them further apart than slow ones.
Copies will be launched at much higher speed than the original. They also don't contain any spell modifiers the original spell has.
Tips
- This spell limits the lifetime of a projectile it modifies to a maximum of 300 frames (5 seconds). Only the initial projectile gets limited lifetime, copies are unaffected.
- Use with powerful but slow projectiles for best effect.
- Causes a lot of damage when used with Magic Missile or other explosive spells.
- As with Downwards Larpa, works well with Black Hole or White Hole shot horizontally to dig a wider and taller column than an unmodified Black Hole shot vertically.
Trivia
- Larpa is a reference to Liero, a 1998 Finnish MS-DOS game that has been cited as inspiration for Noita. In Liero, Larpa is a projectile weapon that shoots a missile that then drops bullets as it travels through the air. Wikipedia says of Liero, "The game has been described as a real-time version of Worms […]"
