Multicast Spell families

A multicast modifier that causes the next set of spells to fire at the same time, the amount depending on the variant. Any modifiers either next to it on the left side, or mixed in before the last spell in the chain will affect all the spells in the set at no extra mana cost. The difference between this set and the regular tuple spells set is that each multicasted spell will have extra spread added to it as well as the modifier itself costing less mana to use.

Tips

  • All the scatter multicasts are useful to create a shotgun-like effect for spells, either right away or as part of a trigger, to make sure at least some projectiles will hit the enemy.
  • Since they're cheaper than the regular multicasts, they work even better for rapid fire wands.
  • The scattering effect is produced by increasing Spread, and can be eliminated by using Reduce Spread or other Spells that Reduce Spread, in which case these act just like an equivalent Tuple Spell.

Trivia

The term 'tuple' originated as an abstraction of the sequence: single, couple/double, triple, quadruple, quintuple, sextuple, septuple, octuple, ..., n‑tuple, ..., where the prefixes are taken from the Latin names of the numerals. Wikipedia
