Spells which have one or more lightning effects. These are distinct from spells doing Electricity damage, having a Lightning Component.

Clouds are limited use static projectile spells that conjure magical clouds at the point of casting. The cloud is stationary in this position until it expires, unless modified. Clouds have a fixed lifetime limit which can't be extended. Their usage limit can be removed with the Unlimited Spells perk.

Each cloud creates a constant stream of droplets of its respective material. Additionally, Thundercloud fires miniature lightning bolts downward every second, producing smoke.

Tips

  • The droplets falling from the clouds can be used to burst fiery projectiles.
  • The Rain Cloud is frequently found in the mines level, and so is a perfect way to kill the fiery Stendari which can otherwise be tough to deal with so early in a run.
  • The Blood Cloud synergizes well with the Vampirism perk.
  • The Oil Cloud, if lit, can act as a wall of fire.
  • The Acid Cloud is useful for digging through hard materials (up to but not including Extremely Dense Rock)
    • It can, however, be contained within Glass.
  • Thundercloud creates a powerful crowd control area effect that decimates enemies passing underneath it, especially slower ones, making it ideal for ambushes.
