Projectile Orbit Spells
Modifiers that add orbiting projectiles to a spell. They cut through both terrain and enemies, and only disappear when its host projectile expires or on direct impact with an enemy.
Fireball Orbit is a projectile modifier spell that adds four orbiting fireballs to the modified projectile. These fireballs will set flammable materials on fire and will explode once the host projectile expires.
Tips
- The fireballs can quickly ignite material, as they pass through non-enemy material without detonating.
- The detonations of the fireballs injure both you and enemies. The explosions can also damage soft terrain, although it's more difficult to control than other digging options.
- Fireball Orbit is very powerful for its rarity and cost. When used with multicast it can be a powerful tool through to the end of a standard game.
- In the absence of a suitable multicast and set of projectiles, Triplicate Bolt is a straightforward multiplier to this modifier's effectiveness.
- Multiple orbits cannot be combined - instead, the first orbit is applied, and all following orbits are converted to an additional orbit of the same type.
- Killing with the detonation of the fireballs at the end of the lifetime of the modified projectile will be considered a trick kill.
