Liquid Vacuum Field is a static projectile spell that creates a magical field of energy which sucks up liquid-type materials within its area of effect. A short time later these are released again in a fountain of material.

Tips

  • The field can be made to move using various modifiers. Boomerang is particularly useful as it keeps the field, and its effect, close to you.
  • Stacking multiple copies on top of each other will increase the rate at which liquid is collected - the Divide By spells are particularly good for this since their damage penalty has no effect.
  • Each instance of Liquid Vacuum Field can (temporarily) hold about 10 times as much material as a Potion Bottle, and gathers material at around 10 times the rate.
  • The Unlimited Spells perk works with the Vacuum Field spells.
  • Paired with a lifetime modifying spell, Liquid Vacuum Field allows you to quickly remove large quantities of any liquid, including Polymorphine. See below for details.

Deleting Material Permanently

By default, Liquid Vacuum Field only temporarily contains materials - they are released again after around 5 seconds. There are various ways to bypass this and have the material vanish along with the spell.


Example 1:
Anti-Sheep shielding

Adding one of these spell sequences to your teleport wand will accumulate a liquid-deleting field around you, greatly reducing your chances of becoming a sheep.

All of these work in basically the same way. Internally, these Field spells are acting like a big Pouch or Bottle. Those are programmed to spill their contents upon death. Spells, at the end of their lifetime, will expire - which doesn't trigger death behavior. The extra scripting required to make this work is what is bypassed or disabled via the techniques above.
