Concentrated Mana

Concentrated Mana is a bright cyan liquid that stains creatures touching it with a buff that increases mana regeneration. It wears off quickly with movement, so it is best used while standing still. Drinking it will give the same buff for a short time and produce a cyan particle effect.

Unlike the projectile modifier Add Mana, this substance applies a buff that refreshes every 3 seconds, giving the held wand a 4 times multiplier to mana regeneration instead of giving a flat amount of mana.

Tips

  • Since it transforms ordinary Water into more of itself, you can convert the pools of water in Holy Mountains, and then drink them, giving you the mana effect for a few minutes to use for the next biome. If you have Water Trail you generate free concentrated mana for the rest of the run.
  • Having the mana regen effect makes the secondary starter wand have reasonable charge speed, allowing it to be your main weapon.
  • You can use concentrated mana to tunnel through the steel in Hiisi Base and The Vault, a material that most digging methods can't break.
