Rock is a very common material with many variations mainly used to define biomes, but also for some game mechanics.

Reacting Variants

Mossy

The Mossy variant of Rock is the most common form found in most biomes and used in the most reactions. Moss will naturally grow on the exposed surface of this rock.

Lava will eat away at this variant of rock, but it can also be created by converting lava with any of the following:

Stalactite

Stalactites (labelled Rock) can be found lining the cave ceiling inside the Mountain entrance at the beginning of the game. Hitting them with enough force causes them to break and fall to the ground similar to Ice.

Water

The water rock is an unused variant that evaporates when coming into contact with Steam.

Item

The item variant is used for various items and spells, including:

Corpse

Rock can be found as the corpse of these enemies.

Background

The background variant is most prominently used for the background statues in The Laboratory.
