Torjuntalaite (listen Audio.svg) (or Turret) is a completely stationary mechanical enemy found primarily in Hiisi Base.

Behavior

When an enemy approaches its line of sight it will shoot a fast-moving laser in that direction dealing upwards of 50 projectile damage per shot. Its view range is larger than a screen; so if unobstructed, it can shoot you before you can spot it.

It cannot move and is only capable of firing horizontally in the direction it faces making it fairly easy to maneuver around.

Combat Tips

  • Like other mechanical enemies it is advised to combat the Turrets with electricity or explosions.
  • Be careful when approaching long hallways with few obstacles. There might be a turret just out of your viewing range that can still detect and shoot you.
  • The turret can occasionally reverse direction when knocked back by attacks or explosions, so being behind it is not perfectly safe.
  • By luring Parantajahiisi (hiisi healers) behind a turret and lightly damaging the turret with a kick, you can have a free source of healing. The healer will attempt to heal the turret, and you can stand in their line of fire and steal it for yourself.
    • If using Never Skip Leg Day or a weapon with high knockback when damaging the turret, make sure to face in the same direction that the turret is facing. otherwise the turret could reverse direction and ruin your plan.

Trivia

  • This enemy is counted twice in the Progress screen, once for Right-facing and once for Left-facing. This is why you can get 172/171 enemies (or get 100% completion without finding an extremely rare Pahan muisto).
