Suurlepakko (listen Audio.svg) (or Large Bat) is a large flying purple creature with bat wings and three eyes that spawns in the Coal Pits.

Behavior

Suurlepakko spawns smaller Lepakko, flinging them toward you as a projectile attack. The tossed Lepakko behave as usual once it hits or misses you. The spawned Lepakko will drop gold nuggets just like their naturally spawned counterparts. Suurlepakko will also lunge at enemies in its melee range, similar to its smaller offspring.

Combat Tips

  • Try not to get covered in its slime, as it will make it significantly harder to run away.
  • If you just want to get rid of it, it's best to go after the Suurlepakko quickly before it can summon any more enemies. However, if you want gold, you can intentionally keep it alive and kill the spawned Lepakko for infinite gold.
  • Staying a good distance above it is an effective way to avoid being hit, as it can't throw its summons very high and you'd be too far away to be hit by a dash attack.

Notes

  • Summoned Lepakko are initially considered projectiles, and can be affected by perks such as Projectile Repulsion Field, Projectile Eater, Hungry Ghost, and similar factors.
  • This initial attack is far faster than the Lepakko's regular movement speed, but slightly slower than the normal Lepakko's dash attack.

Trivia

It is unique in that it is one of only two enemies (the other being the Hiidenkivi) that attacks by summoning other enemies. While the Toimari also summons enemies, it only does so as a reaction to damage, not actively.
