Throughout the biomes of Noita one can find little mysterious set pieces scattered. Solving their puzzle will grant you a reward.
Mines
Rope-Swing Puzzle
An open room, with a small amount of water on the ground. Dangling from the ceiling is a large metal chain, affixed to an electrified metal box. On the right side of the room is a strange platform.
![Spoiler Warning Spoiler Warning](/images/thumb/8/83/Item_Emerald_tablet.png/42px-Item_Emerald_tablet.png)
Electrifying the platform will spawn a Chest. The intended solution is the electric box, but any electricity spells, an Ukkoskivi, the Electricity perk, and many other methods will also work.
Empty Basin, Empty Potion Puzzle
A small basin is visible, with a potion stand containing an Empty Potion just to its right. Further right is a solid Wood wall.
![Spoiler Warning Spoiler Warning](/images/thumb/8/83/Item_Emerald_tablet.png/42px-Item_Emerald_tablet.png)
Filling the basin with Oil will reward you with the Ruusu, a unique Wand. The intended method is to break the wooden wall, revealing a basin full of Oil, and use the Empty Potion to ferry it, but if the oil happens to burn away or otherwise get misplaced, it can be ferried from elsewhere, created through spells such as Circle of Oil or Oil Trail, bled from an oil-bleeding enemy or Minä with Oil Blood, or brought in by various other methods.
Empty Basin Puzzle
A small basin is visible, with seemingly nothing else nearby. The ceiling above seems to have a short break where a wooden plank has been affixed to bridge the gap.
![Spoiler Warning Spoiler Warning](/images/thumb/8/83/Item_Emerald_tablet.png/42px-Item_Emerald_tablet.png)
Filling the basin with a specific randomly-selected liquid will reward you with a Chest. The intended solution is to break the wooden plank in the ceiling, revealing a shallow vat of the target liquid, then break the side of the vat to allow the material to pour down into the basin. All target liquids may be acquired elsewhere if necessary.
The random material is picked from the following list: Water, Blood, Whiskey, Toxic Sludge, Brine, Slime, Berserkium, Pheromone, Oil.
Coal Pits
Capsule Puzzle
A metal capsule with openings on the sides will sometimes generate, with a puddle of Water at the bottom. Emblazoned on the inside of the capsule is the alchemical symbol of Water, the downward-pointed triangle, and an image of a cloud is etched into the ceiling of the capsule.
![Spoiler Warning Spoiler Warning](/images/thumb/8/83/Item_Emerald_tablet.png/42px-Item_Emerald_tablet.png)
Evaporating enough of the water into Steam or filling the inside with Smoke will reward you with the Kiekurakeppi, a unique Wand, which always casts Knockback.
Cube Puzzle
A black cube with gold etchings may rarely spawn.
![Spoiler Warning Spoiler Warning](/images/thumb/8/83/Item_Emerald_tablet.png/42px-Item_Emerald_tablet.png)
If you stand still near the cube for around 10 seconds, a portal appears above the box. The portal leads to a chamber containing a single wand, and a return portal that takes you back to the entry point. Tinkering with wands is also possible inside this chamber, for up to 10 minutes.
Snowy Depths
Capsule Puzzle
A capsule-shaped structure can appear in the Snowy Depths, similar to those found in Coal Pits. Emblazoned on the inside of the capsule is the alchemical symbol of Water, the downward-pointed triangle.
![Spoiler Warning Spoiler Warning](/images/thumb/8/83/Item_Emerald_tablet.png/42px-Item_Emerald_tablet.png)
Adding about 1 3/4 flasks of Water into the capsule will spawn Valtikka, a fairly strong Unique wand, which is guaranteed to Always Cast Piercing Shot.
Electric Puzzle
A small steel room with a wand inside. To the left of this room is a smaller static container holding an electrified metal box.
![Spoiler Warning Spoiler Warning](/images/thumb/8/83/Item_Emerald_tablet.png/42px-Item_Emerald_tablet.png)
One solution is to connect the lightning trap to the other container with a conductive material (usually most liquids), where the electricity will ignite the oil and wood, dropping the rock and allowing access to the wand. Take care as the lightning trap will still electrify the second container. Spells should be able to destroy the terrain beneath enough to sever the connection.
Buried Eye
A brickwork eye of the same material and shape as those powering the Holy Mountain portals.
![Spoiler Warning Spoiler Warning](/images/thumb/8/83/Item_Emerald_tablet.png/42px-Item_Emerald_tablet.png)
Filling the eye with Teleportatium of either variety to re-power the eye opens a portal to an unnamed snowy cavern containing two wands. A return portal is present in the cavern.
The Vault
Vat Puzzle
A spherical structure found in the Vault.
![Spoiler Warning Spoiler Warning](/images/thumb/8/83/Item_Emerald_tablet.png/42px-Item_Emerald_tablet.png)
It has two randomly chosen symbols which determine what you must fill it with in order to receive one of two possible Unique wands, Varpuluuta or Arpaluu.
Only one of the clues needs to be followed for each puzzle, and each clue rewards a different wand (may both give Arpaluu, but spells and stats will change)!
The symbols and what you have to fill it with are:
For the final solution of the puzzle, fill it with about 70% of a flask of one of the liquids indicated by the symbols. In the example image at right, it can be either Lively Concoction, Pheromone, or Healthium, Worm Blood or Worm Pheromone.
Temple Of The Art
Diamond Puzzle
A small room containing either a Heart or a Treasure Chest. On its right, there is a horizontal diamond shape with narrow openings on both sides.
![Spoiler Warning Spoiler Warning](/images/thumb/8/83/Item_Emerald_tablet.png/42px-Item_Emerald_tablet.png)
![](/images/thumb/b/ba/Temple_Diamond_Puzzle_Demo.gif/300px-Temple_Diamond_Puzzle_Demo.gif)
Projectiles can be shot through the gaps, damaging the wooden structure enough to cause the rectangular rock to fall, giving access to the room.
Gunpowder Puzzle
An enclosed space containing a Heart or a Treasure Chest. On the left, there is a basin with a open channel leading to the gunpowder, which covers a frail wooden structure.
![Spoiler Warning Spoiler Warning](/images/thumb/8/83/Item_Emerald_tablet.png/42px-Item_Emerald_tablet.png)
When the gunpowder is ignited, it will destroy the wooden support for the rectangular rock, allowing entry. The basin can be used to pour a flammable liquid, or just lava, onto the gunpowder.
