Mod:Apotheosis/Status Effects

Status effects are a number of certain afflictions or buffs that can affect both you and enemies independently from perks. They are gained through staining and consuming potions and materials (usually liquids), enemy attacks, and certain spells. All status effects will work at full strength for their entire duration or as long as there's at least one percent stain left on you.

Note that not all potions will give the same effects when consumed instead of stained, and will often cause vomiting instead. There are a few perks that have effects similar to status effects.

When you re-enter the game, there are some effects that are doubled, so you can exploit it for example Greased Lightning, Haavoittajamestari's Heartache and Hungry Ghost's Extra modifiers.

Some enemies have built-in immunities to certain status effects.

	Duck Curse	Their Quacky visions haunt you	All airborne projectiles will be visually replaced with ghostly ducks.	Consuming Feathery Meat from Sinisorsienmestari.
	Mana Degradation	You are losing Mana Rapidly!!	Mana in all currently held wands is rapidly depleted.	Mananmestari and Korruptoitunut Mananmestari projectiles Taikuudensyöjä and Manan tyhjennyskristalli auras.
	Unstable Transmutation	Your being is transmuting nearby matter uncontrollably!	The victim will repeatedly shoot boomeranging projectiles which convert all nearby terrain into deadly substances.	Transmutaatioidenmestari projectiles.	On very rare occasion, Unstable Transmutation is capable of generating beneficial materials.
	Blazed	You feel dizzy.	Vision is distorted.	Consuming Red Sand.
	Somewhat Blazed	You feel interlinked with Yggdrasil.	Vision is heavily distorted, Music shifts. Happens when accumulating 30s of Blazed.
	Really Blazed	You feel a pleasant burning sensation build up inside you.	Vision is extremely distorted. Music shifts. Happens when accumulating 90s of Blazed.
	Blazed as Hell	Usual concepts don't apply.	Vision is extremely distorted. Visions of 3 eyes appear. Triggers a Creature Shift. Happens when accumulating 180s of Blazed.		You can keep consuming Red Sand to let the visually effects grow endlessly more intense, though, this may make it very difficult to see.
	Limitless Flight	You can fly forever.	You can levitate indefinitely.	Getting stained with Soarium. Consuming Soarium.	This effect also counteracts the Yggdrasil's Curse status, allowing the player to levitate as they would normally while it's applied.
	Spells to Nukes	All airborne projectiles become nukes(!!!)	All projectiles, friend or foe, will be turned into a Nuke.	Consuming Nukium.
	Safe Escape	A protective barrier shields you, and you feel faster.	Move significantly faster in all directions, as well as gain a temporary shield to protect the user from attacks.	Getting stained with Escium. Consuming Escium. Escium Pylon beams.
	Projectile Attunement	Your spells seek targets automatically.	Projectiles will automatically seek out targets, similar to the Homing spell.	Getting stained with Attunium. Consuming Attunium or Writing Meat from a Kohdennusmestari.
	Magical Light	Taking damage causes you to retaliate with a beam of light.	Upon taking damage, you will retaliate towards the attack with a beam of light. Additionally provides light for dark areas.	Getting stained with Pure Light. Consuming Pure Light.
	Suffocating	You are rapidly loosing oxygen!!	Your oxygen meter will rapidly decrease.	Getting stained with Suffocatium. Consuming Suffocatium.	You can become immune to the downsides of this status with the Breathless perk.
	Shattered Protection	Provides no protection, spreads to nearby ambrosia.	Disables the protective properties of Ambrosia and converts nearby ambrosia to more Infected Ambrosia.	Getting stained with Infected Ambrosia. Consuming Infected Ambrosia.
	Accelerated Velocity	Your spells feel significantly faster.	Projectiles will be shot out at a significantly faster speed.	Getting stained with Veloium. Consuming Veloium.
	Pure Stomach	Your stomach is clear from negative effects you've ingested.	Negative ingestion effects, such as Poison, Internal Fire, Suffocating and so on, will be immediately removed so long as this status is active.	Consuming Milk or Dried Milk.
	Portalic Rideshare	You feel nearby creatures will follow you through portals.	When entering a portal, such as a Holy Mountain portal or a Lukki Portal, all nearby creatures will teleport with you.	Getting stained with Portalium. Consuming Portalium.
	Brain Rot	You feel your mind ceasing to function. Further consumption may be a mistake.	Audio and Vision are heavily distorted. Aim is disturbed.	Consuming Unholy Concoction.
	Brain Rot	You suffer permanent brain damage. Further consumption may prove lethal.	Audio and Vision are heavily distorted. Aim is permanently disturbed. Happens when accumulating 30s of Brain Rot.
	Brain Rot	The last of your neurons will soon cease to be.	Audio and Vision are heavily distorted. Aim is permanently disturbed. Death will occur imminently. Happens when accumulating 90s of Brain Rot.
	Sacrilegious Curse	You feel your flesh growing uncontrollably.	Repeatedly take damage over time, upon death, transform into a Kirottuolento. Additionally emit small amounts of Infectious Blood.	Consuming Vacillating Flesh.

	Abyssal Hex	You take damage from water and other wet substances.	Being afflicted by the Wet status will cause the victim to take rapid damage. 	Industrious Hex	You take damage from oil and other oily substances.	Being afflicted by the Oiled status will cause the victim to take rapid damage. 	Lively Hex	You take damage from blood and other bloody substances.	Being afflicted by the Bloody status will cause the victim to take rapid damage. 	Delusional	Your senses deceive you.	Hallucinations of various creatures will appear around you	Psyykkinenlepakko psychic blasts. Esoteerinenkeiju projectiles.
	Explosive	You're transmuting magic into explosives!	All nearby projectiles will be turned into an explosive box.	Räjähteidenmestari projectiles.
	Affluence	Creatures hit by your projectiles drop extra gold.	Enemies will drop double gold upon death after being hit.	Kicking an Affluent Orb.
	Freezing Infusion	Your attacks inflict Freeze.	Projectiles will inflict the Frozen status.	Kicking a Freezing Orb.
	Water Hex Infusion	Your attacks inflict Abyssal Hex.	Projectiles will inflict the Abyssal Hex status.	Water Hex Pylon beam.
	Vulnerable Infusion	Your attacks inflict Vulnerability.	Projectiles will inflict the Vulnerable status.	Vulnerability Pylon beam. Korruptoitunut Turvattomuusmestari aura.
	Projectile Assimilation	You heal from projectiles.	All projectile damage will heal the victim rather than damage them.	Projectile Assimilation Pylon beam.
	Mind Vision	You can see... yourself. Well done.	A small radius around the victim is illuminated through the fog of war and darkness.	Mind Vision modifier.
	Slow	You feel sluggish.	Movement speed is reduced by 50%.	Jättiristiriitakeiju projectiles.
	Grounded	You are unable to levitate.	Levitation is disabled, can be countered by the limitless flight status to allow standard levitation.
	Extra Life	Upon death you respawn with 100 health.	Upon taking fatal damage, you will instead respawn and be granted 100 health along with temporary invulnerability, similar to the Extra Life perk.	Tuonelankone when charmed.
	Infiltrated	Your stains are set in stone, nothing can be removed and nothing can be added.	Any stains currently on the player can not be removed, and any liquids the player touches will not stain them.	Mass Infiltration spell.
	Exfiltrated	Your skin feels spongy, your stains can temporarily not be set in stone.	Temporarily can not gain the Infiltrated status effect.	Mass Infiltration spell, upon infiltration expiring.
	Final Requiem	Protective Perks are disabled. You can not be healed.	All immunity perks are disabled and any attempt to heal is blocked.	Suur-Helvetinmato's song.
	Yggdrasil's Curse	You can no longer teleport. You are unable to levitate.	Provides the same effects as the Grounded and Teleport Nullification status's simultaneously.	Acquired upon entering the Plane of Yggdrasil.
	Wild Magic Curse	Your resistances and protective perks are disabled.	Similar to the Vulnerable status, all of your immunity perks are removed and your damage taken is significantly increased.	Acquired upon entering the Plane of Soul.
	Ground Zero	Experimental magic will periodically be detonated around your being.	Effects similar to what appears during the End of Everything will appear around the player every 10 seconds, regularly causes a mechanical worm to respawn and persue the player.	Acquired upon entering the Plane of Experimentation.
