Korruptoitunut Vaihdosmestari (also known as Corrupt Master of Exchange or Corrupt Swapper) is a corrupted and deformed Vaihdosmestari (Master of Exchange). It has the appearance of a blue eyeless humanoid with two "horns" and is dressed in a white robe.

Behaviour

The Corrupt Master of Exchange specializes in Swapper magic, unlike the normal Master of Exchange it casts homing bolts towards other enemies that deal no damage but gives the Curse of Swapping effect to whatever it hits, causing anything with the effect to exchange positions when they are hit, this includes the player if they have the effect. Much like a normal Swapper attacking the Corrupt Master of Exchange will swap places with whatever has damaged it. This may put you in the line of fire from your own projectiles if you are firing projectiles that may hurt you. The Corrupt Master of Exchange like most Corrupted Masters has a uniquely colored shield that increases in strength the more it is hit, making their shield nearly impervious to all damage as long as it is constantly barraged with attacks. If they take no damage for long enough their shield will drop and go through a cooldown phase for 2 seconds. The shields lifetime can be increased if it is repeatedly barraged fast enough increasing in strength.

Combat Tips

  • Like most Corrupt Masters the Corrupted Master of Exchange has a shield that increases in strength the more it is attacked, if they do not take damage for long enough they will eventually drop their shield and it will undergo a cooldown. As long as you are not constantly barraging them at high speed the shield will periodically drop and allow you to deal damage, repeatedly spamming the shield will make it extremely powerful and impervious to attacks. If you are able to kill the Swapper in a single hit it will bypass its shield and kill it immediately. It is recommended that you have high damage to be able to kill it in a few hits in order to not draw out the fight and get overwhelmed when faced with multiple of them.
  • Corrupted Masters of Exchange when alone serves no danger to the player, dealing 0 damage and giving them swapping properties, however their swapping and shield can make them tough to kill, it is recommended to make sure you are in a safe position when trying to kill them. As they are harmless, you can walk right through their shield and fire directly into them.
  • Corrupted Masters of Exchange may make tactical positioning in the biomes they're in tricky, with them giving other enemies Swapper like abilities, it can be difficult to keep your positioning if you are using a wand with a large area of attack. This can be especially dangerous in biomes like Temple of Sacrilegious Remains where their swapping ability can drag you out in the open. Therefore pinpoint accurate wands with limited area of carnage are recommended when traversing these biomes.
  • It is possible to hit enemies effected by the Corrupted Master of Exchange accidentally off screen in crossfire as long as they are loaded, making them very unpredictable. Caution should be taken when shooting in open areas off screen.

It generates a shield after it takes damage. If it takes no damage for long enough the shield will fade. When hit, it swaps with what hit it.

If hit with a par number of Damage Types (i.e. Energy Sphere's Slice and Projectile), the swap will immediately be reversed. The shield still blocks the first projectile.
