Not to be confused with the mini-boss, Nuori Tulihämähäkki.

The Aesthete of Heat (in-game name Tulen Esteetikko) is a Spider-like boss encountered in the Lava Lake. It has a variety of dangerous attack which primarily inflict fire and explosive damage. In order to spawn the boss from the lava Lake, the player must throw a Kiuaskivi into the lake to lure it out, afterwards the fight will begin.

Behaviour & Combat

After emerging from the Lava Lake, the Aesthete of Heat has a variety of attacks it will use.

Frequently, the boss will cast a barrage of large spectral wands and shoot a Meteor out of each one.

Upon taking damage, the boss can retaliate by firing fire bolts towards the attacker.

Additionally, the Aesthete of Heat will periodically sink it's eye within it's body and a ring of flames will surround it, after a short delay many more flames will appear and the boss will suck in projectiles. During this phase you should avoid attacking the boss, as any damage you do will be converted into health.

The over-sized Lukki will also occasionally set all nearby creatures on fire, including the player, a flask of water or other means to extinguish yourself are recommended for negating this.

Slice damage may want to be avoided here as it produces large quantities of lava and does little damage to the boss.

Phase 2

After reaching 40% health, the rocky shell will break off from the volcanic spider and it's inner form will be revealed, caution should be exercised when this happens as it will quickly cast large crosses in the surrounding area which will shortly splinter into firebolts moving in cardinal directions.

Additionally with the rocks broken, the boss will gain a 50% boost in movement speed, making it slightly harder to outrun.

Phase 3

Phase 3 occurs after the boss reaches 10% health, initially the boss will immediately enter a healing phase regardless of how long it's been since the previous one and quickly spit out firebolts which will get sucked in by the healing phase's attraction, but will not damage the boss.

The boss will also run around in a panic and become very difficult to avoid without means to help with movement, such as acceleratium, the faster movement perk or Teleport Bolt.

After the panic healing phase ends, the accrued fire bolts will fly out in all directions

Once the healing phase ends the boss will gain another 33% speed boost for a 200% movement speed boost total, healing phases will have a shorter cooldown and the Volcanic Lukki will act more aggressively overall, but this is nothing more than a final desperate act.
