Cursed Spines (in-game name Kirottuselkäranka) are large skeletal worms which nest deep inside of the Temple of Sacrilegious Remains.
They possess extreme durability and can inflict the 
Lively Hex status effect for 20 seconds upon contact, dealing extreme damage if you touch bloody materials after receiving it, a difficult material to avoid given the biome it appears in.
It may be best practice to keep your distance from the worm and be weary of it dashing towards you if it begins looking in your direction.
