The Alchemic Weirdo (in-game name Alkeeminen Outo) is a mass of volcanic rock with a thick glass bottle for a head.

Behaviour & Combat

As the Alkeeminen Outo are non-aggressive, they will not attack the player on their own. However, they will follow the player to the ends of the earth if allowed to and get in the way of spells with their long hitboxes, which is where their true nature is revealed. Upon being hit with direct wand attacks they will retaliate by Hexing the attacker with Effect abyssal hex.png Abyssal Hex, Effect industrious hex.png Industrious Hex or Effect lively hex.png Lively Hex, this retaliation is unavoidable. They also have a large amount of health.

Upon Hexing the player, they will also stain the player with a small amount of material associated with the hex, such as Water, Oil and Blood respectively.

The Hexes themselves will deal rapid damage to the player as long as they remain stained by the associated materials, and will cause the player to take %health on contact with the physical material itself, this makes the Effect lively hex.png Lively Hex status effect they can inflict extremely dangerous due to the biome they appear in being almost entirely compromised of blood.

If the player finds themselves submerged in water, oil or blood while afflicted by the respective hex, they could die in a matter of seconds if they don't escape.

Tips

  • Alchemic Weirdos should be avoided being shot at, however if you truly wish to kill one, it may be safest to lure one into a place without Water, Oil or Blood before attacking it to minimize damage taken.
  • While water and blood are typically good options to remove undesirable stains with, it may be preferable to find a different material such as slime to remove stains while engaging an Alchemic Weirdo.
  • If you can kill an Alchemic Weirdo in a single tick of damage, it will not have enough time to inflict a retaliation hex.
