Greek Multiplication Table

I'm currently working on multiplication tables for each of the Greek Spells and their interactions with eachother and spell duplication. I've finished Omega's table if you want to have a look. This is just a stub in the talk pages so I can add notes to the relevant talk pages. Interactions with modifiers are to be done after I've finished their base interactions with eachother or where relevant (Mu). But might contain slight errors until I've double checked everything. Feel free to chip in if you notice any mistakes. I won't be updating the main pages until I've finished testing.

Regarding casting more than 1 Omega

  • Does it cast only non greek letter spells listed within the second omega?
  • What recursion limits are in place?
  • Say I cast 1 spell behind a spell refresh and three omega, do I get:

- 9, each omega casts 1 spell, then casts 2 spells from the other 2 omega
- 12, each omega casts 1 spell, then casts all spells not generated by itself from other omega
- something else too complicated to jot down quickly

Binary? IT USES BINARY!!! (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
n = S(Ω+'#') Where: n = resulting number of spells S = number of spells
Ω = number of omegas
'#' = binary sum, imagining that for each omega you change one 0 in binary to a one
so 4 omega would be
'#' = 1 1 1 1
'#' = 8+4+2+1
'#' = 15
n = S(4+15) n = S(19)

'quotes' are just there for formatting shenanigans

Which I will check as soon as I've killed tiny and gotten a decent non-shuffling wand, WoM throws the calculation off even with a Wand Refresh. After a great deal of save loading I finally have a good 1 spell/cast wand. And then I lost my 4th omega somewhere. Time for a sky diving session in The Work.

Update, removed long cast, got 20

without long distance cast 1 = 1
2 = 4
3 = 9
4 = 20, then 22

So anyway, moving forward I will be using formation spells to measure

1,4,11,24,45 3,7,13,21 4,6,8

And we end up with a sequence with common differences, finally something simple and easy to work with, as for what the original sequence is, I give up, I couldn't be bothered remembering algebra, this is enough to learn the rest of the sequence, so good enough for me.

So this may be easier to understand when you know that Omega copies spells in a particular order, which isn't _just_ the order they are on the wand. When cast, it copies the 'discarded' spells (either spells which have already been through the standard draw-cast-discard process in previous casting blocks, or have been discarded via other means), then the spells currently drawn in your hand as part of the cast the Omega is part of, then the spells left on the wand. It never casts itself, but _can_ cast _other_ Omega instances, but only if they aren't drawn in the same cast state/hand. It _never ever_ casts wand refresh. Oh and Greek spells can only recurse/cast each other up to three levels deep. Simple stuff eh? -flowsINtomAyHeM (talk) 21:24, 5 May 2023 (UTC)

I would really like an introduction guide to get caught up to the state where I can call this stuff simple, time to test separating casting blocks, except if I do that I'll have to cast formation behind your back with a dummy spell each time to make it countable, actually that's pretty easy. For the recursion limit of 3 does that only apply when they're in separate casting blocks, or will it affect the sequence that I've added to the main page which I'm about to amend to 'when cast in the same casting block' because I used behind your back to force the omegas into a countable form (wand below). Also once it hits the recursion limit does it reset or keep firing at the recursion limit until it recharges. so with a wand refresh at the end of three omega casting blocks would the first 2 shots cast less and then all shots after that cast more or would it reset each time so that every third shot would cast at the recursion limit?

New test: is there a way to separate omegas after a wand refresh so that Zeta Casting an Omega on a separate wand will cast the omegas not on the same castblock?

  • First test wand used to find the sequence of omega multiplication in the same cast block (I did this for the first five numbers of the sequence removing a behind your back and an omega each to to prevent wand wrapping).

  • separate casting blocks, gets a lot more... I think, luminous drill makes it fire too quickly, other projectiles give it too much cast delay to test easily
