Giga Bomb is an explosive spell that summons a large bomb that drops near the player.
It is a larger counterpart of the spell Bomb, similar to spells like Holy Bomb and its counterpart Giga Holy Bomb.
Giga Bomb can sometimes be found in a special formation of a house with an enemy holding Giga Bombs in it, and also can be obtained through usage of Mass Materia Conversion on normal Bombs.
The Giga Bomb's explosion removes all material and terrain up to a certain durability in a large radius. Terrain adjacent to and above the explosion will erode and turn into a powder version of the same material, otherwise keeping their material properties. A similar effect can be achieved using Thunder Charge.
Tips
- Most types of terrain will be destroyed from the Giga Bombs's very large explosive radius. Unlike Bombs however, Giga Bombs can destroy Steel and Extremely Dense Rock. Cursed Rock is still an exception.
- Being affected by gravity, Giga Bombs will roll along the ground due to their round shape. Place them carefully as they can easily roll away from the desired location.
- Kicking Giga Bombs allows the destruction of overhead terrain and flying enemies that would normally be out of its explosion radius if laid on the ground. However, this is often not necessary and very dangerous without some kind of Explosion Immunity as the blast radius is much larger than that of normal Bombs.
- As with any explosive, Berserkium doubles the power as well as the explosive radius.
- The Bombs Materialized perk allows Giga Bombs to be held and used directly from item slots.
