Master of Mallards

The Master of Mallards (in-game name Sinisorsienmestari) is one of the many Master spellcasters. It takes the appearance of a humanoid with a duck head and brown robes.

Behaviour

The Master of Mallards casts a special duck spell which summons Enchanted Ducks, two on direct impact and one on collision with terrain. The projectile is rather fast, with slight homing ability, so it can be hard to dodge if you aren't immediately aware of its presence. The Enchanted Ducks summoned by the master are somewhat fragile, but can quickly deal copious amounts of melee damage if not dealt with. The Master of Mallards can summon infinite ducks to attack you, so may be worth prioritizing in more drawn out combat scenarios.

Combat Tips

  • As with all Masters, exercise caution and focus on avoiding the projectiles. This is easily done by constantly moving perpendicular to the enemy's aiming trajectory (which usually means levitating up or falling down) and staying at a medium distance.
  • The ducks it summons drop gold, if you have melee immunity to reduce incoming damage from it's summons, it may be a good opportunity to attain extra gold if you're behind.
  • The ducks it summon also bleed blood, which may be another good opportunity to heal with vampirism if you have melee immunity to reduce incoming damage

  • This is the first creature created for More Ceeps & Weirdos, it originated from a joke in Xytio's stream about a "master of mallards" duck mage
