Ignition Tank
The Ignition Tank (in-game name Sytytystankki) is a tank enemy which rapidly shoots out fireballs towards nearby targets, similar to those from the Flamethrower spell.
Unlike most tanks, the ignition tank features no backup grenade launcher for close range encounters, but instead has much faster tracking.
Behavior
Ignition Tanks will patrol their designated area and attack any noitas found wandering too close, at which point it will rotate it's flamethrower towards it's target and open fire.
Occasionally a scene can be encountered with two Ignition Tanks guarding a pair of Insinöörihiisi (also known as Hiisi Engineer), the tanks typically try to approach the player to build distance between them and the engineers in this scenario, giving the engineers time to construct an army of tanks and overwhelm the player.
If this scene is encountered, it may be safest to abuse the Tank's poor tracking and target the engineers before they can construct backup.
Combat Tips
- While Ignition Tanks track faster than their other counterparts, they do so at the cost of having no backup grenade launcher in the situation the player gets too close.
- They have very little range and can be easy targets when in the open if you keep your distance.
- It may be best to avoid an ignition tank in cramped corridors as there will be very little room to avoid their dangerous barrage of fire.
- Extra care should be taken around explosives if an ignition tank is present, as they can easily detonate explosives with their flamethrower when trying to burn their target to a crisp.
