Greater Cold Gazer
Not to be confused with its smaller form, Cold Gazer
The Greater Cold Gazer (in-game name Suur Jäänkatse) is a rare enemy most commonly found prowling the Snowy Depths but can occasionally be encountered in the Snow Chasm, it is usually located underneath a large ice bridge.
Behavior
Will float around and fire significantly damaging projectiles at the player which will create Freezing Vapour, eating through a lot of health if not dodged. The Greater Cold Gazer has a medicore rate of fire, and its projectiles move relatively slowly, but it has extremely high health for when it's encountered and fires a barrage of projectiles at once.
Additionally upon taking damage, it will gradually summon multiple Pakkasukko to make the encounter more hazardous as it gets closer to death.
If encountered in the Snowy Depths, though it may be dangerous, killing it may prove more than worth as it can drop various spells upon death, ranging anywhere from a measly Spitter Bolt to an Add Mana or Chainsaw.
Combat Tips
- Despite firing multiple projectiles at once, there'll be a short delay before it's projectiles move towards you, you can use this opportunity to see what pattern they'll move towards you in next
