There are many materials added by Chemical Curiosities and its 3 branches, they are split into 4 main categories: Primary, Supporting, Resource, and Technical.

Material Types

Primary Materials are main features, a material that stands on its own enough to be a defining part of the mod. An example might be Arborium, which converts other materials into wood, and does not depend on any other materials.

Supporting Materials are are separate from Primary materials, but are not enough to work on their own. An example might be Hydroxide Gas, which is created by Hydroxide when it burns through other materials.

Resource Materials are materials that function primarily for mixing and general alchemy purposes, and generally do not do much on their own. an example might be Cobalt, which does nothing on its own, but can be mixed with various other materials.

Technical materials exist for functionality, they are generally either used for testing or as technical support for another material designed to be virtually indistinct from its dependent. They also generally have the same UI name as their dependent material, if they have one. An example might be cc_warp_sickness, which is injected into the player after being Warped by Warp Powder
