A wand with many sprite/particle effects.

With some practice, 呪文 in wands held by enemies can sometimes be identified by particle effects emitting from the wand tip.

ヒント

  • Particle effects from 呪文 stack, both with different 呪文 and identical ones.
  • Death トリガー, タイマー and トリガー variants of 呪文 are always identical to the base 呪文' appearance (e.g.: a ブラックホール with トリガー emits the same particles as a ブラックホール).
  • Unless the wand was generated by a クッミタス, 静電放射物 and ユーティリティー 呪文 will not usually generate on a random wand. 静電放射物 呪文 can generate as an 常時詠唱 呪文 on a wand, although this is quite rare.
  • Wands usually generate with more 放射物 than modifiers, so when in doubt between a modifier or 放射物 with a similar appearance, you can estimate which specific 呪文 it is based on the quantity of particles emitted (combined with knowledge of the fact that longer wands typically have more slots, and wands are typically half- to almost-completely-filled with 呪文).
  • Some 呪文 have an internal flag set that is intended to prevent enemies from firing that 呪文 (although this, too, can have exceptions if the wand would マルチキャスト that 呪文 with another 呪文 that does not have that flag set). The 呪文 with this property are ギガ核爆弾 (it is the only 放射物 呪文 with this property, but has a very small chance of generating on a wand), 破壊, 呪文から核爆弾へ, すべての終わり, and 核爆弾の軌道. Note also that, since 核爆弾の軌道 ドロー a 呪文, which will typically not have this flag set, this flag effectively does nothing for 核爆弾の軌道; and furthermore since 核爆弾の軌道 has no cosmetic effects to help identify it, it is probably the most dangerous naturally occurring 呪文.

Identification

電撃

Electric 呪文 are very easy to identify, as they will not only emit cosmetic 'スパーク' particles but will also electrify nearby conductive 資材. Almost all electric 呪文 (球電光, 稲妻ボルト, 電撃チャージ, 稲妻スローワー, 雷チャージ, 雷爆発 and パーソナル稲妻キャスター) look identical.

電撃アーク has slightly 'longer' particles.

Sprites

Many wands emit, instead of or in addition to normal particles, small sprites, which are generally identifiable as they are more than one pixel large. 闇の炎の道 and 触手 are easily identified, as they have very large and identifiable sprites that are emitted: a single 闇の炎の道 particle for 闇の炎の道, and a purple cobweb-shaped sprite for 触手.

凍結チャージ uniquely emits square 'snowflake'-like sprites.

テレポートボルト, 小型テレポートボルト and 戻る can be identified by the star-shaped white sprite that is emitted. 小型テレポートボルト technically emits at a slightly slower rate than the other two, but this difference is typically difficult to observe in practice.

Many 呪文 emit orange flame-like sprites: ダメージプラス, クリティカルプラス, マナからダメージ, ランダムダメージ, and ヘビーショット. (See the next section for 呪文 that emit both orange sprites and orange particles, which are generally more dangerous.) ランダムダメージ uses a unique sprite which is slightly redder, and ヘビーショット emits sprites at a slightly elevated rate.

Particle color

Orange

Orange particles are perhaps the most meaningful particles that can be observed, as they are emitted only by 核爆弾, ギガ核爆弾 (also 炎のアーク, 炎の痕跡 and 爆竹, although these are less concerning). 炎のアーク and 炎の痕跡 are not accompanied by the circular yellow 'スパーク' sprite.

Pink

Bright pink particles are emitted by one of お見通し, ブラックホール, ギガブラックホール, オメガブラックホール, and Matosade. Of these, お見通し is typically only ever found in the 鉱山 as part of a pre-generated wand, and ギガブラックホール, オメガブラックホール and Matosade are 静電放射物 and do not typically generate on wands. So a wand emitting these particles is typically carrying ブラックホール.

Purple

Bright purple particles are emitted by 巨大なファイヤーボルト and 巨大な魔法のミサイル, which are identical.

Green

Green particles are emitted by one of 加速ショット, 集中ライト, 大きなファイヤーボルト, 大きな魔法のミサイル, 治癒のボルト, 寿命減少 and スピードアップ. スピードアップ, 加速ショット, 治癒のボルト and 寿命減少 are relatively low impact, so identification is not as important.

Blue

Blue particles are emitted by 死の十字架, ギガ死の十字架, 光る槍, マナを追加する, エネルギーオーブ, 氷の玉, ライトショット and スパイラルショット(放射物). 光る槍 emits relatively long-lived particles that typically reach the 地面.

スパイラルショット, 死の十字架, ギガ死の十字架 and 氷の玉 emit larger blue sprites in addition to blue particles, and 氷の玉 also emits 煙. 死の十字架 and ギガ死の十字架, which are identical, have a slightly longer interval between emissions.

Red particles by themselves are actually only emitted by two 呪文: 寿命増加 and 減速ショット.

Gases/Liquids

Gases

引火性ガス means 酸のボール, 酸の痕跡 or スライムボール. スライムボール and 酸のボール are identical in appearance, and will additionally emit cosmetic particles of 猛毒ヘドロ which may stain the 地面.

Poisonous Gas means 毒の爆発 or 毒の痕跡 (and 毒の爆発 does not typically spawn on wands).

煙 is emitted by a large number of 呪文 that use a generic "explosive 呪文" emitter profile. 燃焼の痕跡, Meteorisade, 爆破, 魔法の爆破, 起爆性放射物, 火の玉, ファイヤー爆弾, 業火爆発, 炎スローワー, ファイヤーボルト, 奇妙なファイヤーボルト, and ドロッパーボルト are all identical.

神聖な爆弾 and ギガ神聖な爆弾 are almost completely identical to any of the above; both 呪文 emit slightly longer-lasting 煙 particles, and ギガ神聖な爆弾 emits slightly more 煙.

魔法のミサイル and 魂の爆発 look very similar to a generic "explosive 呪文" but do not emit 煙. 魔法のミサイル' 'スパーク' particles emit at a slightly higher rate than 魂の爆発 (and notably, 魂の爆発 does not normally generate on wands).

Liquids

As noted above, 猛毒ヘドロ means 酸のボール or スライムボール. 血の魔法 and 血からパワーへ are identical in appearance, and both emit cosmetic particles of , although both 呪文 are ユーティリティー 呪文 and will not typically generate on wands.

ゴールド?

Finally, ゴールドからパワーへ emits cosmetic ゴールド particles, although this may be difficult to distinguish from 炎-based effects.
