Timer is a type of spell variant that casts a payload of one or more spells after a fixed duration. If an obstacle is hit before that duration has passed it will act similarly to a Trigger instead.

Spells that create projectiles that carry a payload of other spells, released when they hit a target, or after a fixed delay.
The cast delay of spells inside the payload is ignored - particularly useful with Luminous Drill With Timer which also has a large cast delay reduction.
When a piercing projectile is given a Timer, or a With Timer spell is modified with Piercing Shot, then (within the duration of the timer) the projectile will release a copy of the payload repeatedly as it passes through an enemy.
Timer spell variants have different periods before the timer fires. The time in seconds is calculated based on the lifetime in frames, and Noita's default 60 frames per second. Timer duration can be different to the lifetime of the projectile, if shorter, it will fire while the projectile is still in flight. If longer, it fires when the projectile lifetime ends.
