Talk:Sampo

Out of curiosity, why is this item's true name determined to be the Sampo? It appears to the player as "True Knowledge" upon acquiring the maximum applicable amount of orbs; I am assuming the name of Sampo comes from either the game's raw code or its place in Finnish folklore being outstanding relative to the other esoteric alchemical names. Reply to 87.74.176.38: It's true that the game never explicitly tells you what the one true name is. The Sampo is the filename of the icon the item uses, and this in combination with its relevance in finnish folklore made it a natural thing to call it. Before this, users in the wiki usually called it "The Salt" or "Our Matter", and while these are indeed valid names the game uses depending on the orb count, the Sampo is the only one that gets another layer of reference in the game files. That's not to say that the true name could be realistically be something else, but unless Nolla Games clarifies it we'll never truly know with 100% certainty. I'll edit the article to reflect this.
