Steel is a common metal material found lining many biomes, most notably the Hiisi Base.
Characteristics
Like other metals, Steel can conduct electricity and melt. Despite there being a molten static variant, the static variant melts to Molten Metal Dust instead. The sand variant doesn't melt at all.
The static variant is quite strong and resistant to most attacks. It will slowly rust into Rusted Metal, which is less durable and can be removed with common digging spells, while in contact with. The prop variant of Steel is considerably weaker than the static variant, even weaker than regular Metal props.

- The static variant can be found in many biomes.
- The sand and molten variants can very rarely be found as a random material potion from a Treasure Chest or Great Treasure Chest.
- The Sand variant can be obtained by breaking down the prop variant or solidifying the Molten Metal (prop) variant.
Prop Variant
The Prop variant of steel can be found as the basis of various props and the corpse of these enemies.
