Metal is a common material used for many props and some items which can be divided into three categories. Props, no hit, and molten.

Prop Variants

The prop variants are used to define several props that can be directly interacted with or kicked. The Music Machine has its own dedicated variant. The item variant is used for Shiny Orb and Cruel Orb.

No Hit Variants

The main no hit variant is used as the body for various light fixtures and the Vault Machine prop. The other variants are self-explanatory - chain is used for chains, wire is used for wires. Chains and wires are commonly used for hanging props. In the case of the Hiisi Base, Power Plant, and The Vault there will be hanging wires strewn about.

Molten Variant

The molten variants are created from only three of the solid variants, that solidify into Metal Dust when cooled. Other solid variants will melt directly to Molten Metal Dust instead of these variants.

These variants will have a very rare chance to be found as a random material potion from a Treasure Chest or Great Treasure Chest.
