A Hound/Crawler overtaken by electric magic. It emanates electricity nonstop making its presence much more dangerous than before. Their eyes also glowing yellow instead of red, when obscured by darkness. This enemy takes many passive traits that the Ukko carries.

The Weaker form found in Mines packing just as much of a punch, however typically dying to a singular shot, it is differentiated with a purple tint.

Behavior

Shock Hounds behavior remain mostly the same, with it wandering around aimlessly, being capable of jumping relatively high, and randomly eating corpses. Their new threat, comes from their electricity constantly shocking nearby metal and liquids.

They can heal from staying in conductive materials, however this isn't very noticeable due to their small amount of health. It does however make Ball Lightning an ineffective attack against it.

They have a higher explosion resistance than Ukko, but with their low health, they're typically only unaffected by small explosions.

Holding a Thunderstone will make the zombie passive along with other electrified foes, rendering it harmless and making you immune to its electricity.

Upon death, it will create quick blue dispersing particles, and leave behind its vanilla corpse.

Combat Tips

  • Combat is generally the same, with it being better to keep your distance, take the advantage point, and go above it.
  • Getting hit with a melee attack can potentially stun you with electricity, leaving you vulnerable.
  • When in water, it can be very dangerous to approach as you can get stunned for a long period after dipping within the liquid, giving it an easy opportunity to close the distance.
  • It is not recommended to fight using Ball Lightning, however Lightning Bolt is still effective with its high explosive damage.
  • When in very close proximity it can burst into a thunder charge explosion, this attack has the potential to immediately kill you at half health, but typically unlikely to see due to it needing a very short distance required to perform this attack.
    • Weak Hounds have a tougher time exploding than the normal ones, due to their lower attack range.

Trivia

  • The reason behind many of the Mines enemies being electrified is due to the mod originally being an "Every Enemy Ukkoified Mod" until it diverged into general enemy worsening.
