황금
Gold is the primary currency of Noita. In its natural form, gold is a powdery material, most common in the 광산 and 석탄 구덩이, but it can occasionally come from 가루 주머니 and 보물 상자. Gold can be melted into Molten Gold if it comes into contact with 액체 화염 or 용암.
Gold Nuggets are solid chunks of gold that are dropped from most 생물. Gold nuggets behave like most other rigid-body objects, and will sink into most Powders where they might become unreachable to you without digging. Gold nuggets will occasionally give off a small sparkle that can help you find them behind other materials.
특성
Gold is a heavy powder which resists explosions and conducts electricity. Upon contact with you, it is automatically collected, yielding 1 gold per pixel of powder absorbed. Acid will dissolve powdered gold, although gold nuggets are generally unaffected. Both gold powder and gold nuggets will be destroyed by 집중된 마나, which vapourises all metals it comes into contact with into 증기.
Molten Gold is a hot liquid, which will ignite any entities that come in contact with it. It can be cooled and solidified with some 물 or any [cold] materials.
Mining
Pockets of gold dust are mainly found in the 광산 and more commonly in the 석탄 구덩이. Spells such as 땅 파는 볼트, 땅 파는 폭발, and 전기톱 will not destroy gold and are effective for collecting it. Other spells such 삼중 볼트, 에너지 오브, or 마법 볼트 can destroy terrain without destroying gold and can work if you don't have any other options. Explosive spells also work, but are typically limited use without the 무제한 주문 perk.
The 빛나는 드릴 and 블랙홀 spells will destroy gold, so you should be careful if trying to use those spells to mine it. Gold nuggets can also be damaged by these spells, and will disappear if damaged too much.

황금 덩어리
Upon death, most 생물 will drop at least one gold nugget. When contact is made, the entire nugget is collected as a single unit, rather than just a single pixel. Nuggets will disappear after not being collected for a certain amount of time, unless you have the 황금은 영원히 perk. They blink white when getting close to vanishing, and flash faster until they are gone.
Gold nuggets come in six different values:
There are a few enemies that do not drop any gold at all, for example most 애벌레 enemies as well as any enemies spawned from hives.
Gold Drop limit
Enemies can only drop gold nuggets up to a limit for performance reasons. The rules for gold drops are:
- Amount equals target's max hp divided by 2.5
- First 50 gold drops as small gold nuggets 10
- If after that there's still 2,200,000
or more gold to drop, drop 10x Large Golden Idols and remaining amount as a single Golden Statue.
- If the Golden Statue's value would be over 2,147,483,135
then set it to exactly that and prevent the 10x Large Golden Idols from dropping.
Accidental Kills
Killed enemies will drop double the amount of gold nuggets in certain situations:
- Killed by a physics object, for example: falling debris, a thrown tablet, or a kicked or otherwise propelled rigid-body object.
- Killed by a naturally-occurring explosive prop, like a crate or propane canister.
- Killed by damage or status effects inflicted by a material, for example: 불, 산성, 독성 진흙, 용암, 독, 얼어붙은 증기, and any electrified liquids or metals.
In addition, certain spells can also cause accidental or 사고사. For example:
- 휴면 상태 수정 or 불안정한 수정
- 바위 정령 소환
- 프로판 탱크
- Both the spikes and the explosion of 가시 포자, but not the direct damage from hitting an enemy with the initial projectile.
- The six 손의 주문 spells which convert enemies directly into a material.
- 폭발 발사체 in combination with any of the 5 material spells (산성, 피, 시멘트, 기름, 물).
피 묻은 돈
Blood money is a special, ruby-red form of gold nuggets, which heal you a little when picked up. Certain perks, like 간접 피 묻은 돈 and 완드 개조 없음, cause enemies to drop blood money on death.
The amount of health restored by picking up a given nugget depends on its size:

여담
It is not possible for you to possess more than 2.15 billion . Beyond this amount the display shows the symbol for infinity ∞
, but it is not actually treated as an infinite amount of gold. Instead, once you reach close enough to the maximum gold value, you are granted an infinitely refilling/resetting wallet with the maximum gold value, meaning that, while you can spend an infinite amount of gold over time without having to manually acquire more, you cannot afford individual purchases above 2.15 billion
. Perhaps the most important consequence of this is that there is always a point where Perk Rerolling becomes unaffordable.
