Ground To Sand is a 발사체 조작 주문 type 주문 that adds a transmutation effect to projectiles. This effect causes any solid 물질 in a moderate radius of the projectile to be replaced with 모래, and lasts as long as the lifetime of the projectile.
Despite the spell's description, there are soft materials such as 뭉친 눈 which will still be transmuted. Combining this modifier with a mechanism to remove sand (and other powder materials) produces one of the best 땅 파기 methods available in Noita.
Affected Materials
- Transmutes 저주 받은 바위 (the sand produced provides some protection against the direct contact damage of that material).
- Converting the 벽돌 material of 신성한 산 into sand can make the gods angry.
- Bomb-type projectiles with physics bodies (e.g. 폭발 상자) do not enjoy being turned into sand, and will express this by exploding.
팁
- Found as an Always-Cast on a wand, or with the 무제한 주문 perk, the world will melt before you.
- Best used with slow-moving, ground-penetrating projectiles to prolong the effect - e.g. 빛나는 창.
- The modifiers 수명 증가 and 선형 아크 or 수평 비행, combined with the 가루 녹이기 perk and a slow-moving projectile, allow you to simply walk behind the projectile as it flies, clearing through the sand it leaves behind.
- Strong synergy with 혼란의 변성 - this combination can transform most materials, though due to the random (and often hazardous) nature of the end result this is better for creating materials than it is for digging.
Sand Removal
Useful:
- The perk 가루 녹이기
- Explosive spells, e.g. 폭발, 미끼 사슴 소환
- 가루 흡입 필드 - permanently removes material if combined with 수명 감소, 놀라 or modifiers with a lifetime limit lower than 300, e.g. 물질 포식자.

The usage limit of 발사체 조작 주문 spells can be bypassed in several ways.
- The 무제한 주문 perk removes the usage limit for most spells, including this one.
- 바닥을 모래로, like other projectile modifiers, will only consume a charge if a spell of type 발사체 주문, 지속 발사체 주문, or 물질 was cast alongside it. Through creative means this can be exploited to use the modifier effect without consuming charges.
- 뮤 will copy all projectile modifiers on your wand, and ignores charges remaining.
- 알파, 감마, 타우 and 오메가 can all copy spells with no charges remaining.
- 트리거 추가 will copy the effect of a limited charge modifier without consuming charges.
